• All abstracts must be submitted and be received on or before May 31, 2018 through On-line Abstract Submission System.
• Before submitting your abstract, please make sure the abstract is prepared according to the instructions.

• All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee of the APHRS 2018, and reviewing results will be notified by emailing the decision of acceptance / rejection to the presenting authors only by July 15, 2018.
• Each accepted paper for oral or poster presentation must have at least one regular participant or student registration. The complete payment for the presenting authors is required before August 20, 2018 to ensure the rights for the presentation.
• Instruction for oral/poster presentation will be sent to the presenting authors of the accepted abstracts.

Instructions for Preparing the Abstracts

Please read the following instructions carefully before preparing your abstract:

• All abstracts must be typed in English
• The total number of characters allowed for the submission is 1,950. The character count does not include spaces. As you enter text into the abstract title, a counter deducts characters from the total allowable number of characters. Submitting authors are required to include the assigned section headers in his/her abstract submission. If this information is not included in the abstract body, the abstract will not be considered formatted correctly for publication.
• The authors’ preference of the type of the presentation and theme will be taken into account. However, the Scientific Program Committee of APHRS 2018 reserves the right to accept or refuse an abstract, to designate abstracts either oral or poster presentation and to choose a suitable session for the abstract.

* Before Submitting, please prepare your abstract strictly according to the Abstract Submission Guidelines. If abstracts received do not meet the specification, Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to reject the submission.

Award Competition

All authors wishing to participate in the competition must submit an abstract through the APHRS 2018 Abstract Submission site, indicate their interest on the “Awards” section of the site, and submit all required documentation via the award application portal.

Abstracts submitted after May 31, 2018, {23:59 (GMT+8)} will not be accepted.

Young Investigation Award (YIA)

To qualify for the YIA, candidates must be primary authors who are aged under 40 as of October 1, 2018. The YIA Competition is open to any physician or scientist who is presently in a residency, fellowship, or doctoral training program, or who has been in such a program within the past three years (at the time of submission). The competition is also open to students in medical schools who are working on a problem concerned with cardiac pacing, population medicine, innovation, and/or electrophysiology in the areas of clinical and basic research. The applicant must be the first author of the manuscript submitted for consideration. Multiple submissions from the same sponsor are discouraged.
YIA finalists will receive 1) prizes (including US$1,000 for the first prize, USD 800 for second prizes, and US$600 for third prizes for each session), and 2) an opportunity to publish papers in the Journal of Arrhythmia.
The result will be announced by the YIA Sub-Committee Chair at the Closing Ceremony. All finalists are required to attend the Closing Ceremony.

Chaired Poster Award

The Chaired Poster Award Competition is open to any physician or scientist who is presently in a residency, fellowship, or doctoral training program, the competition is also open to students in medical schools who are working on a problem concerned with cardiac pacing and/or electrophysiology, in the areas of clinical and basic research. The applicant must be the first author of the manuscript submitted for consideration. Multiple submissions from the same sponsor are discouraged. Abstracts are not eligible for consideration if published prior to APHRS 2018.
To be considered for the Chaired Poster Award Competition, the author will need to submit an abstract during the APHRS 2018 Abstract Submission period (Deadline: June 15, 2018 {23:59 (GMT+8)}) and indicate that he/she is interested in applying for the Chaired Poster Award Competition.
All finalists will be awarded with prizes (including US$1,000 for the first prize, US$800 for second prizes, and USD$600 for third prizes for each category). The result will be announced by the Chaired Poster Award Sub-Committee Chair at the Closing Ceremony. All finalists are required to attend the Closing Ceremony.
